I tend to get really, really rushed this time of year.
Being the basically lazy person that I am, I really don’t get going on the Christmas shopping like so many other people.
There are people I know who have their Christmas shopping done and are still enjoying the HVAC cooling of late summer. How is this even possible? I can’t even imagine. While I’m no longer scrambling to get presents at the drug store on Christmas eve, I still have plenty of shopping to do in late fall. This tends to really sort of add more to my load than I can often get done. And that tends to lead to me forgetting something important. This year, I made sure one of the things I didn’t forget was the HVAC heating maintenance for the gas furnace. That is something I’ve been known to forget now and again. The facts are really clear that getting consistent seasonal HVAC maintenance is just about the best thing you can do for the HVAC equipment. HVAC maintenance makes sure the HVAC unit is up to the load whether it’s the gas furnace for heating or the heat pump for HVAC cooling. Plus a well maintained HVAC unit will operate at a much more efficient level than those that aren’t maintained. Of course one of the biggest benefits of seasonal HVAC maintenance is adding longevity to the HVAC unit. I’m going for at least 25 years of service from our HVAC equipment. I know people who have an HVAC unit with 30 years of service and it’s still going thanks to good, consistent HVAC maintenance from the HVAC professionals.
