Perfectly glad with portable air conditioners

I’ve never seen the need for central air conditioner. I live in an part where the summers are especially short. The Wintertide weather seems to hang around forever. The two of us often get snow in April or even May. After relying on the gas furnace for 8 straight months, I’m eager to open the windows. The indoor conditions become really dry and stale. Welcoming in some fresh air feels absolutely lovely. There are some years where both the Springtime and Summer months are rainy and chilly. Even when the people I was with and I get hot and humid Summer conditions, the weather is only a concern for multiple or many months. By October, the outdoor temperature is already cooling off. At my house, the people I was with and I get along just wonderful with window air conditioners. I was able to take advantage of a sale and buy air conditioners for each of the family rooms at a reasonable price. The cooling units are really lightweight and compact. I can absolutely carry them up to the attic for storage during the winter. Some time during the Springtime, I haul the air conditioners back down the stairs and install them into a family room window. The process only takes a few hours. I make sure to scrub down the outer cabinet and clean the air filter. Once the air conditioner is located into the window and blocked in, it’s ready to start up. Each one is operated with an independent remote. Not only can family members adjust temperature without getting out of bed, they are able to customize settings to personal preference. Despite the small size, these units are plenty powerful enough to cool down a larger family room on a hot and sticky night. Since the people I was with and I only operate the cooling units at night, the cost of running them is minimal. I appreciate that the air conditioner circulates and filters the air in the family room, keeping it cleaner. I appreciate the operational noise that drowns out early afternoon parakeets and barking pets.
