My friends told me that the week before I arrived in the states the weather was much cooler.
It is the middle of April now and the humidity is coming very quickly. I think last week the high was around 70 F and now we are hitting a high of 90 F with the heat index. I got a new rental car with ice cold air conditioning and am planning on keeping it in the shade while it is parked because it is a black car and gets way too hot in the sun. It’s a Honda Fit and the gas mileage it gets is amazing. I think I get around 35 mpg in the city, with the HVAC system on high cooling, and I am only going to drive about 20 miles a day on average. I will only be using about a half gallon of gas a day, which is nice considering the price of gas is pushing $4 a gallon. I only have about $400 left in my bank which will need to last me for the next three weeks while I am here so I should be okay if I shop at the right stores for food. I really like having a new car with the efficient new HVAC system because it really cools the car down fast, almost as soon as I start the engine. They’ve made some great advancements with cars and I am lucky to have rented such a good model. I am off now to the local business to buy some new wiper blades for my mom. See ya later.
