New roof improves energy efficiency

When the two of us bought our house, the two of us knew that it needed a new roof. The roof was past the expected lifespan plus showing signs of leaking. However, there were a lot of house improvements that took priority. We had no option but to purchase a new tepid water heater, washing component plus dryer. The windows badly needed to be updated, plus there were problems with the ductwork leaking. Eventually, the two of us started finding loose shingles in the grass every time there were high winds. We needed to set out pots to catch the drips from the ceiling while in rainstorms. We took out a loan plus hired a roofing corporation to handle the job. Because of the age of the roof, the corporation needed to tear it all the way off. With the indoor living environment exposed to the outdoors, the two of us dealt with bugs plus all sorts of pollutants. It was not possible to run the air conditioner. The temperature was in the high eighties or low nineties with excessive humidity every afternoon, however living without the cooling system was awful. We had to make due with box fans. We were anxious for the project to be finished. When the corporations finally packed up plus left, I expected the air conditioner to struggle to bring the temperature down. I was amazed by how hastily the entire house was perfectly comfortable. The new roof has significantly increased energy efficiency all year round. In the winter, the gas furnace no longer needs to toil as taxing or run as often. There is far less wear plus tear on the component plus I pay a lot less in utility bills every month. The savings are helping to pay for the new roof. Plus, I expect that the gas furnace plus air conditioner will last quite a bit longer.
