DIY a/c repair

When I noticed some troubles with the central a/c, I tried to hide the problems from my husband.

My husband enjoys to repair things.

He has invested into a huge inventory of tools plus believes himself to be handy. When he repaired my vacuum cleaner, I needed to buy a new 1. When he repaired the ceiling fan in my dining room, I could no longer use the light feature. I was afraid that his efforts would force myself and others to buy a brand new a/c. My complaints with the cooling plan were diminished airflow, musty odors plus a greater concentration of dust floating around. Although the a/c was still operational, I called for professional repair immediately. Unluckyly, I couldn’t get an appointment for over a week. The weather that week was especially warm plus humid, making the a/c essential. I knew I was in trouble when my husband started fiddling with the thermostat. He asked myself and others if the house felt warm plus then got out his tools. I explained that I’d already set up a repair appointment, but that didn’t deter him. He took the outer cabinet off plus found a significant buildup of dust inside. There was mold growing on the cooling coil plus algae thriving in the condensate drain. My husband spent all day carefully cleaning all of the components. When he put the a/c back together, I doubted that the cooling plan would beginning up. However, it ran perfectly. The complaints with cooling capacity, comfort plus air quality were solved. I was able to cancel my appointment with the Heating, Ventilation & A/C supplier plus save that money.
