Modular laundry room

The previous homeowner had a backyard shed that served as a tool shed and laundry area! You had to walk through sand, down a hill and go all the way to the back of the shed to access the washer and dryer, carrying a laundry bag that far would have stunk, it also would have been terrible in serious weather.

My spouse and I looked around and there simply was no space inside the house. I also didn’t want the noise of the washer and dryer inside. I found that I could get a shipping bag delivered to my house that could serve as a modular laundry room setup, but the shipping bag has water and electric hookups. There is a window and a small sink inside. I even paid extra for added outlets and storage space. The best is that the washer and dryer are right by my house. I go out the side door and the shipping bag is there. I can particularly transport the clothes over and not have to get dirty feet. I also did not carry a laundry bag half the distance before I did. I don’t hear the clothes washing and drying either, so the baby can nap whenever he needs to. It was the best solution for our home setup. Now that every one of us have a modular laundry room, I have thought about adding more shipping containers. My spouse is looking at adding a big shipping bag to be a storage facility for his tools, grass unit and minute vehicle. It would be protected from the elements and a cheaper solution than buying a fully constructed building.
