The two of us had to call the company when the sensors weren’t working

The hospital has tiny little sensors all over the building & those sensors relay information to the automated lighting, heating, & security system, but the sensors relay information like the temperature & the time of afternoon, however they also have motion detectors. Some of the automated lighting in the building only comes on when there is a person walking down the hall, then for instance, there are automated lights in the hallway by the morgue. The hallway is rarely used by anyone, so placing automated sensors means the two of us can save currency on the cost for electricity in that part of the hospital. The two of us also have automated lighting systems in all of the operating rooms, ER, & the main hospital lobby! When the automated lighting system went down, the two of us had to contact the commercial business that handles all of the electrical issues in the hospital, and i had to get approval from the main office to contact the commercial electrical business, after the two of us got approval, the two of us had to wait 3 nights for an appointment, and during that time, the sensors were going haywire, and periodically the lights were on all afternoon & sometimes they would not come on at all. After the commercial electrical business checked the issues, he realized that many of the sensors needed to be cleaned. He believed that simply cleaning the sensors would remedy the sporadic lighting issues. The two of us had not cleaned any of the sensors since the start of the year. They were dusty & dirty & a little grimy too. The dirt & dust were the only reasons why the automated lighting system wasn’t working officially.
