Al and I constantly hold these silly games near the end of the day with throngs of people chilling out around the paseo seeing and cheering.
Yesterday some guy named Tom from Ukraine showed up to play. Tom told me “we play ball now? I am very great player”. Haha, it is funny because I hear this all the time, and usually it is from dudes that have no idea how to play the game. But Tom was absolutely great and every one of us played a few games together till I got exhausted and just hung out and watched Tom play. He works at the local business near the beach and just started working here as a heating and cooling technology dealer, so I am sure I will be seeing Tom around quite a bit for games in the future. He was hitting the ball absolutely tough and had some great jumping serves with a lot of speed on them; I worked for a few minutes doing some HVAC ductwork sealing and installation so I was already exhausted when I first showed up to play Last year. But Tom and I had some great games anyways and at one point every one of us had almost 100 people seeing and cheering us on, which absolutely helps add to the energy of the game and makes for some crazy plays too. I have to job at the heating corp today for a few minutes doing some HVAC unit reviews for the local HVAC company and then I am going to play some music with Tom on the rock pier later. Tom and I will have some fun again tonight I’m sure.
