If you hit the local shops too early on Monday morning you run into the retirement crowd and have to wait in long lines to get out.
I found the sweetest spot for shopping to be between 3 pm and 3:30 pm each day.
There are virtually no customers in the stores at that time and I find I can get in and out in a short period of time if I do the shopping around that time of the day. The produce store has an amazing refrigeration system to keep the veggies and fruit cold, and they even have a big walkin cooler to store stuff longer than on the shelves in the cooler store, but each time I walk into that locale it reminds me of the looming plane flight back lakeside new home in a few weeks where the air conditioning makes me think adore I am fresh produce myself. I’m okay with being cool on the plane much more than I am cool with being stuffed in those little seats for the overnight flight over the Atlantic. But this is the price I am willing to spend my money to see some friendly faces again and to provide old momma a large hug. I miss my mom. Mom worked in the heating and cooling industry doing oil furnace and air con sales and service. Mom is retired now and getting old so coming to the lake home is that much more pressing for me. I am just low on funds right now but I will pull off buying a flight back within the next week maximum.
