It’s amazing how a little piece of dust around the edges of a fan impedes its cooling abilities.
The blades of the fan need to be wiped down or the air doesn’t flow from them like it should & a lot of the cooling efficiency is lost.
Imagine the grill for the A/C compressor if it isn’t clean. I bet the cooling efficiency entirely gets dragged down substantially when the grills on the air condenser or compressor are not fully clean. I like to have an Heating & Air Conditioning tech come out & wipe the grill in the air handler every 3 months to keep my Heating & Air Conditioning method running as efficiently as possible. I tried to do it myself the other day however ended up spending minutes trying to locate where the air grill is on the air handler. I finally gave up & contacted the local Heating & Air Conditioning biz to set up an appointment to get my central Heating & Air Conditioning method cleaned & tuned up. I suppose that it has been just over a year since having it cleaned last time so I was way overdue on it. I really should just buy a 5 year annual repair contract & let the Heating & Air Conditioning specialist worry about when it is time to do all of the cleaning tasks. They just put it on their schedule & let myself and others recognize when it is time to get my unit inspected & tuned up. I have enough things to worry about with my local corporation that is trying to keep their heads above water while in this slow Winter time season the people I was with and I have now. I suppose it should be alright though.
