I never wanted to go on a train again

Some people need to do things 2 or 3 times before deciding they are never going to do it again, and for me, it took one train ride, and I knew I was done.

My dad and I were told that although it was slower, a train ride was better than flying or taking a bus.

It took twenty-eight hours by train, that took fifteen hours by car, and we could not stop whenever we needed to walk, and it was hard walking on the train when it was moving back as well as forth. I thought it was going to be more comfortable, but I was wrong. It was so chilly that my dad was shivering more than I was. I had to buy blankets to keep him warm, and I had to buy food. They didn’t have coffee to keep me warm. I tried to turn off the HVAC, but it was on, as well as there was no turning it off. I told the conductor that my dad had heart concerns as well as this wasn’t safe for him, but there was nothing they could do, he said we would be pulling into the station in an hour, where they would be picking up an HVAC dealer. He said they should have the HVAC repaired within an hour after pulling out of the station. I bought 2 more blankets and wrapped them around my dad while I huddled under my jacket, and moved closer to dad. I could not wait to pull into the station as well as have the HVAC contractor service the HVAC.
