It’s so nice to be a month out from Christmas plus I have every bit of my holiday shopping complete plus mailed.
That’s a large deal for me.
But what makes it even better is that I used my summers worth of a/c cost savings for presents. That’s how much I saved on the cooling comfort inside my home. This time of year, the heat pump stays off mostly. But if the two of us need it, the heat pump makes quick labor of the afternoon chill plus then cycles off for the rest of the afternoon; For sure this is the sort of Wintertide I want to have. But of course, that comes with a flip side when it comes to all the heat the two of us endure. This section records hot plus cold temperatures that are normally right around the century mark from June through September. But the real kicker is the humidity. That can make it super uncomfortable while I was in those several weeks. But I am really lucky that the two of us have such good residential Heating plus A/C which provides the a/c to manage this situation. But I have been spending more currency on Heating plus A/C in the Summer than I wanted to. So with some easy changes, I saved a ton on a/c costs this past summer. Sealing the house up really tight made a large difference. I also stopped all the direct sunlight heating which was also significant. But really it was all about the thermostat setting discipline. Still, it was really good to use all the savings from over the Summer to purchase presents for the people I prefer at Christmas.
