Working from home, enjoying our HVAC

I will admit that our electric bill went up as a result.

The pandemic did not help myself and others get over our introversion and hermit-like tendencies, that is certain! I was 1 of the lucky 1s that got to work from home. Some of our other coworkers were going stir crazy cooped up in their homes. I found it to be beautiful! I could do our work in our pajamas. I could even set our own schedule, because the only time that all of us entirely needed to show up as a group was a afternoon meeting and an afternoon meeting of a half an hour each… For the remaining 7 hours of our shift, it was simply up to us to be productive in our own way. Sometimes, I would cram our work into the first 3 and 1/2 hours and be done by noon and have the rest of the afternoon to myself, however this was not particularally difficult to do. Anyway, another perk of toiling from beach cabin was being able to rely on our own heating and a/c. It is true that I was using way more of it during the pandemic, because I was staying in our beach cabin most of the time. I will admit that our electric bill went up as a result. That was nice though, because I was willing to spend money the extra money on both yearly bills and service visits if it meant that I could stay beach cabin and work! Besides, I didn’t necessarily abuse our gas furnace or air conditioner during our toiling hours. I was primarily worried with comfort when I was sleeping. I typically make sure our room is super cool whether it’s the Winter or the summer, and in the summer, that means cranking up the air conditioner considerably! During the afternoon but, in the Summer I would simply shed layers of clothing and turn the thermostat up, and in the winter, I would use our heat sparingly and wear extra layers and carry around a blanket to keep warm. I daresay the pandemic was fun for me!
