All we wanted to do was take our kids for their first vacation to the beach. We live in the midwest, and to be tolerable it’s a whole trip if we want to get to the beach. The best we can do is spend time at the different lakes in the area. These are nice, and we’ve had the best experiences. But, nothing beats the real ocean beach with the waters spreading out and the waves rolling in. We wanted to take them in 2020, and even had a location picked out, but the pandemic put an end to those plans. I lost my job so we had to work with one income until I managed to find another in 2022. So, this past Summer we decided to go for our first getaway to the beach, and booked a private rental home to stay in. Hotels aren’t bad and various have excellent a/c. But, we found a private home for rent, which is more homely and we can enjoy our stay. We got one with a pool and about 5 minutes to the beach at a wonderful price and booked that. However, on day two of our stay at the magnificent house, the AC stopped working. The part was hot and humid, so when the AC failed, it threatened to ruin the entire getaway. Thankfully, the man in charge moved fast to hire an Heating and A/C worker to service the faulty AC. We left the home to spend the afternoon in town, and the Heating and A/C worker came through and fixed the issue. The vacation was saved and we continued having the best two weeks stay.
