I always knew that I should have been an HVAC technician! I don’t know why in the world I went to school to become an accountant instead because I really don’t like my job much at all.
I guess I was just feeling too much pressure from my friends and family about going to college whenever I first got out of high school.
I didn’t really know what I wanted to do, but even back then when I was young I had a lot of interest in working with my hands and learning about heating and cooling technology. Now that I am older and I have been working as an accountant for about 15 years now, I can look back and say that I should have done with my gut feelings back then. I should have gone to the local technical school to get my heating and cooling certification when I got out of high school instead of going to college to get an accounting degree. I mean, I am not miserable with my life, and I don’t exactly hate my accounting job. But I know deep down that I would really enjoy being a heating and cooling technician a lot more. Most of the time when I am sitting at my desk at work now I sit there and daydream about doing other things. I feel like if I were an HVAC technician instead, I would be too busy working on furnaces and air conditioning systems to worry about anything else. Maybe I will retire from this job and go back to school eventually!
