Getting rid of the old gas furnace

When I bought our house, the first thing I did was rip out all of the floors.

They had old linoleum that was faded and ripped.

I couldn’t believe that there was gorgeous walnut hardwood beneath that ugly flooring. I called a friend of mine who refinished floors and I asked him to come to the house. It was love at first sight when he looked at the floor. He couldn’t wait to start working on it, but I had other plans first. I still had to put in the HVAC system and I didn’t know what I wanted to do. My friend wanted me to show him around the house. He told me he had been a HVAC technician for about ten years before he decided he wanted to flooring instead. He said that he would have to rip up the flooring if I went with radiant heating, but he wanted me to try something else. It wasn’t a big house and it only had the great room, two bathrooms and two bedrooms. He suggested I get a triple split HVAC system. There would one condenser that was on the outside wall and three air handlers. He thought it would be best to put electric heat in the bathrooms so you could turn it off when the bathroom wasn’t in use. I’m not sure if that is the way I will go when it comes to HVAC, but it certainly sounds like an option. If I don’t go with triple split HVAC, I think I will go with a boiler system and I could put the baseboard heaters along the wall.
