I know about the history of Heating and A/C and it helped me win trivia evening last week.

I am typically a sucker for trivia games for some reason.

I love knowing lots of obscure trivia that other people have no idea about. I believe it makes me feel smarter than everyone else for some reason. I have typically been someone who reads up on random things. Even back when I was a kid, I typically liked to study random things that no one else knew anything about. I have typically been known as a wealth of useless know-how among all of my friends. I have never even been offended by that title because I believe that it’s funny. I love knowing unusual stuff. It typically helps me get into interesting conversations and it usually helps me at parties, too! Well, the other evening I played trivia with some friends at a large trivia tournament. I never thought that we would have any possibility of winning because we were going up against some fantastic teams. Well, it just happened to turn out that one of the categories was about the history of heating and cooling. I am such a nerd that I know absolutely everything that there is to know about the history of heating and cooling! In 1902, an engineer in NY invented modern air conditioning! Also, the first room air conditioner was invented in 1931 by two guys named Schultz and Sherman. I knew the right answer to that question and I won the whole tournament for our team!
