Over the weekend, I realized that something was wrong with my furnace. The house wasn’t being heated regularly & I was hearing the furnace run in irrespected patterns. I’m never apartment during the day because I’m at work, so I wasn’t sure how long the issue was occuring. I didn’t remember hearing the furnace run periodically the previous weekend, so I assumed that the issue was recent. I did the only thing I knew to do & I called the Heating & A/C company. I told them that some rooms were heated to a different temperature & that the furnace was running periodically. I also told the Heating & A/C company that it sounded like my furnace was splitting on & splitting off randomly. When the Heating & A/C professional arrived, he was ready to maintenance my furnace to find the issue, but he confirmed the issues I was experiencing & he immediately told me that he assumed it was the thermostat. This answer surprised me because I wasn’t considering the thermostat as the issue. After running a few tests, he confirmed that the thermostat was the issue. According to him, the thermostat wasn’t getting an accurate learning of the rooms throughout the house, which was causing my furnace to run irrespectfully. The furnace wasn’t sure if it should be heating or not. The Heating & A/C professional recalibrated my thermostat & everything began working officially. I’m cheerful I hired an Heating & A/C professional because I would have never known that my thermostat was causing my furnace to run inefficiently.
