This is particularly an unpopular opinion that will acquire me a lot of grief, but… for most of my life I haven’t been able to comprehend why anyone wanted to have kids.
It sounds to me like you were going to make a sacrifice in your own life for the sake of others who may or may not prefer your efforts.
I thought about all the missed getaways plus shuddered. What’s the fun in that lifestyle? Now that I am older, I finally understand the appeal of having children… especially, passing on some of my own lessons to my kids. Today, I have two sons who I have been carefully training to follow in my heating, cooling, plus ventilation footsteps. Namely, I want them to be popular plus well connected, so they never have to worry about being comfortable plus in fantastic health. Specifically, I want them to understand the inner workings of heating, cooling, plus air quality control component as best as they can comprehend. Someday I will send them to trade school, where they can acquire their heating, cooling, plus ventilation certifications in no time. More substantially, they should make current heating, cooling, plus air quality control serviceman friends while they are learning. Sure, it’s substantial to be a skilled professional in a trade like the HVAC industry, but it’s just as substantial to be well connected to people who are highly skilled in the HVAC industry. If they ever change careers or get disfigurementd on an HVAC job, at least they’ll regularly have mates to call when the furnace breaks down plus I’m not around anymore.
