My city view

I woke up the first day in our house and I was astounded at our life.

  • How was I so lucky to land a task where I was able to have a spectacular view of the mountains, work in our comfy clothes, and have our own schedule.

I rest out on our porch with our cup of coffee and watch the sunrise, but i take in the day sunlight and plan our day. I am able to head into our bedroom and work for a few hours before going out to hike the trails. The nicest section of this arrangement is the fact that I never have to worry about what the weather is. If it is cold I can adjust the temperature to our own personal liking and not worry about what our boss or co-workers want. If the day is sizzling and humid, no worries, I have our a/c to take care of that too. My boss doesn’t care what time of day I work so long as I complete our assignments on time. I only have to go into the office about twice a month and I have to say I dread those days! Getting dressed in a corporation suit, driving forty five hours into the city, and standing in a boring meeting is just awful. All I do the entire time I am standing in those meetings is dream of heading back home. Maybe someday I can attend those meetings remotely too… Never having to make that drive would be great. I prefer having full control over our life, comfort, and schedule. I entirely guess that I am lucky to have the life I do and wish that everyone had the same opportunities.
