This cover had choked out the condenser device and it was ruined
My wife is the absolute love of my life. I can’t imagine ever being on this planet without her. That is as long as she stops killing our heating and cooling systems. Our new home is in the Southern Region so air conditioning is a huge high priority. We chose to use the adjustable heat pump for our heating and cooling needs. Most of the people down here make the same HVAC choice. However, some people who live in my area don’t understand that heat pumps must have airflow. We are retired and I spend the heat of the day in the cool of the air conditioning. My wife is the opposite. She putters in the yard and garden all day long. That woman lives in the heat. I was shocked to wake up to a humid and warm home the other day. I checked the power source to see if a fuse had blown. Everything was okay but I’m no HVAC mechanic. So, I called up the HVAC tech to come out and have a look. Our typical heating and cooling tech showed up and instantaneously invited myself and others outside. I was hoping this might mean it’s something easy he could show me how to fix in the future. But, to my shock, I turned the corner of my home to see some black plastic thing covering the condenser unit. This cover had choked out the condenser device and it was ruined. My wife walked by and asked me and the HVAC tech if we liked her new addition. She was so happy to have covered up what she thought was an eyesore. I could only nod and return indoors.
