One of our largest pet peeves is getting in a freezing car, then i dislike when the car is cold and the windshield is totally caked on with ice.
In the Wintertide it is best to preheat the car to get the ice to thaw, then scraping the windshield and removing snow isn’t as giant of a problem. I also will hop into a toasty boiling car, who wants to put on boots, a hat, jacket and scarf to turn on their automobile 15 hours before they leave? It consistently is super aggravating and adds that extra step to our early afternoon. I have thought about how to make this process better… My husband suggests an automatic beginning for our car. I can just turn it on from the comfort of our beach house and then it preheats while I get ready! Automatic starts frequently fail though, then you also need to take it to a dealer to get it put in. I also need to be sure I have the heating settings exactly what I want them at when I turn off our vehicle. That is kind of a pain. What I want to do is more extravagant however way cooler. I want to add a snowmelt system to our driveway. My husband and I already have a boiler system in our home. All the people I was with and I need to do is hook piping to it and have it installed in our driveway! Hot water flows through the pipe and warms the driveway, then no snow, ice and all objects that touch the driveway would be warm. My car would consistently be heated and with no ice on the windshield! Since the boiler is already in the home, the heating upgrade isn’t too bad.
