I wasn't signing the property lease until it was right

My girlfriend and I had to move to a new state for work and we didn’t know anything about the area.

We had to find an apartment online. We talked to a couple of apartment community managers. They sent us photographs and floor plans. We found a nice two bedroom apartment close to a grocery store, gas station, and an ice cream shop. I thought the place was absolutely charming. The leasing company agreed to include a washer and dryer in the lease. The total monthly rental rate was supposed to be $1035. We showed up with our moving truck on the day we signed the lease. We were ready to move in and start unpacking. It was a twelve hour drive and neither one of us had slept in two days. The manager had all of our paperwork ready, but the rental rate was incorrect. The property lease stated our monthly rental rate would be $1120. I asked the manager why the price was different and she told me the extra $85 was for the washer and dryer. I was really mad and upset, because I was promised those items would be included in our lease. I refused to budge and I wouldn’t sign the property lease until they changed the price and added an addendum lease. I made them agree to the free rental rate for all 12 months of the lease. I didn’t want them to come back in a month or two and try to change our rental rates while we were living there. I had that happen to me once in the past.
