Personal trainer helps with recovery from injury

I’ve been playing tennis since I was only a couple of years old.

I took to the sport very quickly and showed a natural talent.

My parents immediately signed me up for lessons with a tennis pro, and I started competing when I was seven-years-old. My progress and success continued until I suffered a severe muscle tear when I was fifteen. I worried that I’d never regain the strength in my right arm and would need to give up my sport. I was hoping for a scholarship to college and possibly a spot on the Olympic team. My coach got me in touch with a personal trainer. At this point, I was extremely discouraged. I was also very young and not overly cooperative. The personal trainer was patient with me and provided someone I could talk to. Along with working on my physical recovery, he helped me develop a positive outlook. He created a workout plan to regain my strength and mobility. Along with my regular practices, I worked with the personal trainer nearly every day for two months. I was eventually able to play competitive tennis again, and my game was better than ever. I still work with this same personal trainer. Because of the individual attention and wide range of exercises, I’ve become stronger and faster. I have more stamina as well as confidence. Even when I no longer pursue a career in professional tennis, I will continue to meet with my personal trainer to keep in shape. I know that I could never push myself to such lengths without his assistance.
