When I first started my HVAC company I really had no clue how hard it would be. I thought that all I had to do was open the doors to my HVAC company and hire a few new HVAC workers. What I didn’t know was that I had to do much more than that to run an HVAC business. The main thing that I didn’t know about was marketing my HVAC business to the local community. There are a lot of other HVAC businesses in our town so it’s pretty hard to compete with them. I think that if there were less HVAC companies around this area I would have had a much easier time. If you ever want to open an HVAC business you should really make sure that you know everything about the HVAC industry. I haven’t lost money with the HVAC company so far but I am getting pretty scared that I will. I have already lost a few HVAC workers because they weren’t working enough and I had to let them go. I get calls about people looking for HVAC assistants, but when I call them back they tell me they found a cheaper HVAC company. I have no idea how some of these HVAC companies are charging less than we area. I am already really only charging for the HVAC installation services not any labor. If I can’t figure out how to get my HVAC business to be profitable I am going to have to quit the HVAC business all together. My uncle used to own an HVAC company and I never knew how much work he had to put into heating and cooling!
