Cheap house costs more because of increased utility bills

During the summer, I don’t run the cooling system at all

Between student loans, some sizable medical bills and getting in trouble with credit card debt, I’ve struggled with our finances… I’ve needed to reduce our expenses in an attempt to get back on track. I sold our vehicle to get out from under the payment and took a hour task. I moved into an house that is walking distance from both tasks! The main reason I chose the house was for the cheap rent. The locale is seriously small and rundown. There’s only enough sizzling water for an eight-hour shower and easily little water pressure. The toilet tends to run consistently and the bathroom faucet drips. The family room sink often clogs and the refrigerator door doesn’t shut tightly. If I run the microwave and toaster at the same time, I blow a fuse. There aren’t enough power outlets in the rooms and there’s water destruction on all of the ceilings. I can live with everything except the old heating and cooling system. I am responsible for utilities and the Heating and Air Conditioning system is costing myself and others a fortune. In our local area, the Winter time weather drops well below zero and heating is a necessity. I set the thermostat as low as possible, bundle up in layers of jackets and shiver. The oil furnace puts out easily little sizzling air and yet fills the house with dust and the odor of burnt hair. I’ve complained about it to our proprietor but nothing gets done. During the summer, I don’t run the cooling system at all. I just suffer with an warm apartment. The a single time I started up the cooling system, it made a terrible screeching sound and the musty stink coming from the vents gave myself and others a terrible headache.
