It’s crazy to think back to before I had kids and my wife and I didn’t have anything else to worry about other than what we wanted for dinner.
- Now that we have a kid our responsibilities have increased, but so has our love and deep desire to keep our newborn as safe and healthy as possible.
The day that my wife told me that she was pregnant we instantly began making changes to our home. One of the first things that we addressed was the heating and cooling unit. For the first two years of living in our house, it was extremely cold during the majority of the year. The heating and cooling unit we had was very old and we spent our money on going on vacation rather than putting it towards a new heating and cooling unit. Once we had an appointment set up with the local HVAC ventilation, heating and cooling company they were able to send a guy out to install the new unit within the week. Once we had the heating problem checked off we had to babyproof the house. Anything around that could possibly be a threat to the baby one it starts to walk had to be sold or put in storage. The majority of the things we had to give up were things that were near and dear to me, but it had to be done. Now that the due date is inching closer we are starting to feel extremely nervous for the arrival of our little one. We are prepared, and we will make sure that our baby is happy in safe in her new home!
