I’ll be 1 of the first to admit that I have a awful tendency to blow off repairs until they become much more serious complications.
I think that all I need to do to keep a situation under control is to do the small routine repairs, however something about that makes me prefer waiting until there’s some major issue for me to resolve, my wifey used to get onto me about that all the time, as she grew up with her dad and siblings being mechanics and gearheads.
She can’t sit waiting around for concerns to arise when she knows the issue can be fixed today! Case in point – last week, the heating and plan for my lake modern home quickly shut down without warning. I had no plan that anything was seriously wrong with the Heating, Ventilation and A/C system, however I noticed about a month or so ago that the control component in my modern home was acting unusual. Nothing that stood out to me, of course, however the control component would randomly shut off and on here and there. Now that I guess about it, I’m sure that was my warning to make sure the control component needed to be updated! As it turned out, the control component had a factory recall on the device, so all of us thankfully didn’t have to spend money for a modern unit. Still, my wifey was irritated that I waited so long to take care of the control component when I could’ve fixed it over a month ago. I can’t say I’m surprised when my wifey shows how irritated she is for my negligence of our home’s appliances – especially the Heating, Ventilation and A/C system.
