Heating and Air Conditioning is a Luxury in Some Parts of the World

For the first time, I left the country to travel for a little while.

I have never had the option to travel anywhere, so everything was a studying experience.

I went to more than one countries on more than one weird continents, and I had the best time studying about the differences between our country and those more than one countries. The food, of course, is good fun to learn about! I discovered that the two of us eat much greater portions here. I also l acquired that meals are a much weird experience in other countries… Another thing I discovered, quite by accident, is that other countries do not necessarily consider heating and cooling a necessity. In fact, they consider Heating, Ventilation & A/C systems to be quite high-priced! I found this out when I got to our hotel room 1 afternoon. The hotel was absolutely gorgeous in every way. In fact, I guess most would call it a luxury hotel. Imagine our shock when I went searching for the thermostat only to discover I couldn’t find it. I called the desk and asked how to adjust the thermostat because it was quite hot in our room, and they told myself and others to open the window! In most high rise hotels I am used to, the windows don’t even open! The only way to control the thermostat reading is with Heating, Ventilation & A/C. I laughed, thinking the hotel clerk was joking, however she wasn’t. She said I must be from the US, as they are the guests that always demand a/c first thing. I admit, I was hot all night and didn’t actually sleep all that well, however I did survive without the air conditioning.
