When I married our fiance to 10 years ago I said till death do us part, in sickness and in health, there was nothing in our vows about excruciating indoor air quality or how the two of us would manage household responsibilities together.
There was no provision for wanting to wring his neck every time the energy bill arrives in the mail or the two of us had to pay for another luxurious emergency heating, cooling, and ventilation repair service! Unluckyly, those have been the most relevant vows that the two of us never made. In fact, most of our relationship has been plagued with bad Heating, Ventilation, and A/C luck in our old home. From the time that the two of us moved in, the heating and cooling system was less than ideal. The air temperature control system had to be 10 years old, and it operated prefer it was 20 years old. I absolutely hated relying on the central heating and cooling system alone, because it always produced uneven moderate and frosty indoor un-even temperatures. Instead, I was always adding additional Heating, Ventilation, and A/C equipment, such a smaller space gas furnaces and AC window units to fill the voids that to our central heating and cooling system created, and after 10 years of this, you can imagine that I started losing our patience. I could never get our fiance to agree that the two of us needed to fully replace the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C system, so I decided it was time to force the issue. I went around the home and restrained all of the air vents from the inside with thick pieces of cardboard. Then, I waited for the coldest day of the year. Sure enough, our fiance couldn’t stop complaining about the exhausting heating inside the house, but one month later, the two of us had a brand modern forced air heating system.
