So I ended up calling my boyfriend to see if I could come over to his house
I know that it’s probably a dumb reason to think about moving in with someone, but I am really coveting my boyfriend’s HVAC system. Having an amazing HVAC system is right up there with having a nice car and a good job, in my opinion. And my boyfriend has a nice car and a good job, too. He’s really the total package and I realized that when I went over to his house during a big snowstorm. The heating system at my house wasn’t working and I was basically freezing to death. I kept turning my thermostat up higher and higher and nothing was happening at all. I realized that not only was the thermostat not working, but the furnace itself was totally off. And worst of all, even though the temperature outside was cooling off more and more, the temperature in my house wasn’t heating up a bit. I tried to call the HVAC company downtown, but they weren’t even open and there was no number to call for emergency HVAC services. So I ended up calling my boyfriend to see if I could come over to his house. When I walked into his house, it was so warm and cozy in there that I couldn’t believe it! He had a big fire burning in the wood burning fireplace, and he had the thermostat turned up so the house was all nice and toasty. Not only that, but I found out that he doesn’t have forced air heating in his house. He actually has radiant heated flooring and so his floors felt like heaven under my bare feet!
