A little over a year ago, I was provided a major promotion at work. This promotion included a significant increase in weekly pay however required myself and others to transfer ourselves up north. Although I was a bit reluctant to live for the first time in a cold weather area, I couldn’t resist the opportunity. I made the major transfer in late November as well as the weather was feeling absolutely charming. I didn’t mind the slight chill present in the air as well as was delighted by the gorgeous and brilliant colors of the changing leaves. I immediately purchased a cute little up-to-date home right near the local lake as well as settled in. I loved dressing up in soft jackets and scarves as well as didn’t mind running the furnace to keep warm at night, at first. I thought living up north didn’t seem so difficult. Then the weather drastically changed with the Wind. The outside temperature dropped down to below zero one night as well as stayed there. The wind was so serious every time that it entirely hurt to step outside. It also started to regularly snow as well as didn’t quit. There was numerous feet of snow sitting on my front step a single day. I had bundled up in numerous layers as well as still felt like I nearly froze to death. I continually raised the control component setting indoors as well as my up-to-date home never felt warm enough after that. I kept the furnace running at maximum capacity all winter, at all times as well as huddled under heated blankets and extra sweaters. My energy bills were so lavish that my pay raise barely covered it anyways. When the warmer weather finally arrived, it brought such brutal heat and humidity that I was always wet with sweat. My goal four 2020 is now to transfer back south, even if I immediately need to take a pay cut.
