I miss my window air conditioning system, and it is Springtime and right now it is too cold to have air conditioning… My family is still running the trusty gas gas furnace and it will absolutely be going until late May.
I want my little cooling device so bad, the reason is not for climate control, but for noise.
I savor the noise that my A/C plan gives off; The constant hum is enjoyable to me, but also, I am an incredibly light sleeper. Any creak of the lake house or somebody going to the powder room wakes myself and others up. I get where I get up 4-5 times a night just because of a slight noise… When the window cooling is on, I sleep through the night since I don’t hear anything but constant sound. The immense noise that is waking myself and others up everyday around 6:30 am is a stupid goose. The geese have been landing on my roof and just hooking their brains out every morning. The stupid honking wakes myself and others up and after that I need to labor to startle them off my roof. After that, it is next to impossible to fall asleep. The grease are not going anywhere either. They might even stay as late as July, then so my cooling plan drowning them out is the closest thing I will get to a great night’s sleep. The weather is just not looking promising, and for the next 2 weeks it is supposed to be rainy, windy and cold. I can’t justify putting in and running the A/C component when it is frigid.
