I really dislike doing errands

Being an adult is so stressful! I feel like I’m pulled in all directions, every moment of every day.

There’s consistently something to be paying attention to, whether it’s a major project at work, a hard process cleaning up something at home, or running around the neighborhood to accomplish boring adult errands.

I have to say, the errands are the worst part of growing up. In fact, I often have to take off work just to accomplish our outside duties. As if it isn’t stressful and unpleasant enough driving all over the town plus missing work, every building seems more uncomfortable than the last. It seems that enjoying errands is pretty much impossible. Around here, the outdoor air temperature is usually around 90 degrees in the summer season. The sunlight is extremely intense and the humidity is nothing to laugh at, every single building you walk into is enjoying a polar tundra. They crank their a/c so high that it feels like they enjoy the tundra. Every time you walk into a building, you’re instantly slammed with a chilly blast of dry air, but walking back out towards the car, you are inundated with sunshine and heavy humid air. You basically have to wipe down after every trip into the outdoor sauna, before wandering back into the freezing winter weather contained indoors. If it wasn’t unpleasant enough wasting all your time and money for chores, you can always look forward to the respiratory illness you’ll develop from serious temperature swings.
