The wife and I own a lot of pets, and I mean a lot of pets.
She is a bleeding heart type who will take in any animal that needs a home.
I try to break her of this habit, but it is as much a part of her as being my wife, so it can’t be contained. I myself prefer plants, and have a lot of them throughout the house. What all this means is that we can’t go away for a vacation without a lot of prep work being done first. This time around that meant having the AC guys come by a little earlier than usual for the inspection. We have a program we pay for that gives us two full HVAC system inspections each year, at the outset of summer and then again at the start of winter. The annual plan also pays for any minor HVAC repairs that might come up through common wear and tear. We would be gone this year for the inspection, so we asked the HVAC company to come a little early, and I’m so glad we did! We also use air filters, of course, but somehow this filter had torn ,allowing an insane amount of pet hair, dust, and dander into the inner workings of the AC. Had we not gotten the HVAc system looked at, it more than likely would have broken down while we were gone. My wife could not have handled thinking of all those animals going with proper air conditioning, so it surely would have ruined our trip.
