I might have made a mistake

I usually obsess with keeping our appliances “like new” for as long as possible, but i scrub our oven scrub on a yearly basis, plus I try to keep the remainder of the living room as pristine as could be, however my obsession with keeping our possessions as fresh and clean as could be has led me to make awful decisions, as I’ve discarded perfectly great device just because it looked too dirty to me, but while I can learn to forgive myself for throwing away a toaster that was only a couple of years old, I’m going to have a much harder time getting over our decision to upgrade our gas furnace; A rule of thumb with replacing gas heating units is this.

If it’s under a decade old, keep it.

If the gas furnace is only a few years outdated but looks crazy, have an Heating plus A/C professional come plus scrub the device clean! Simple enough, correct? Well, I’m not someone who pays attention to “simple”. I tried to scrub the gas furnace up myself one random Friday afternoon, plus after two hours of scrubbing with a small sponge, I quit, and did I call a professional to scrub the system? No, I called a Heating plus A/C business to take a look at the gas furnace plus help me find a upgradement. When the Heating and A/C professionals came, they even said to me that I should hold off on replacing it and just have them thoroughly scrub it out. I refused, being the germaphobe I am, and later I told them I wanted this dirty gas furnace out! They looked at each other for a moment, before quickly agreeing to our demands. It wasn’t until after I spent thoUSands of dollars on an up-to-date gas furnace that I realized how out-of-control our obsession with cleanliness had become!
