It wasn’t serious enough that we couldn’t use the air conditioning, but I thought it was time to start looking. Summer was almost over and I knew that the AC units would soon be going on sale. I waited patiently and finally, in September, I saw the first of the clearance sales. The HVAC companies were selling out old inventory for new. I began to look to see who had the best deals. I couldn’t believe how many different offers the HVAC companies could come out with. Some of them were offering discounts up to 40%. Other HvAC companies were including free standard installation. Others were offering free premium installation and one year of free maintenance. I was weighing out every option that I could find. I finally went to a couple different HVAC companies that had the air conditioners in their showroom, that I was interested in. The one that offered premium installation only offered a twenty percent off the AC unit. I finally went with the free standard installation and 30% off the cost of the AC unit. I bought the AC unit and I set up the installation. It took three weeks for the HVAC company to find time to do the installation. It was fall and I didn’t have a need for the AC, so I wasn’t worried. They could have installed it in three months for all I cared.
