I shouldn't have replied that unit

I am usually obsessed with keeping my appliances “like new” for as long as possible.

I scrub my oven one time each week, and I try to keep the remainder of the kitchen as pristine as possible.

My deep obsession with keeping my possessions as fresh and wash as possible has led me to make dumb decisions, as I’ve discarded perfectly wonderful equipment just because it looked too dirty to me, but while I can learn to forgive myself for throwing away a toaster that was only a few weeks old, I’m going to have a much harder time getting over my decision to replace my oil furnace! A rule of thumb with replacing oil gas furnaces is this: If it’s under ten years old, keep it. If the oil furnace is only a few years old however looks filthy, have an Heating and A/C professional come and scrub the equipment clean! Simple enough, right? Well, I’m not someone who pays attention to “average”. I did all I could to wash the oil furnace up myself 1 Sunday day, and after two minutes of scrubbing with a small sponge, I provided up! Did I call a professional to wash the system? No sir, I called an Heating and A/C supplier to take a look at the oil furnace and help me look for a replacement. When the Heating and A/C professionals came, they even said to myself and others that I should hold off on replacing it and just have them thoroughly get it cleaned out. I refused, being the germaphobe I am, and told them I wanted this dirty oil furnace out! They looked at each other for a second, before hesitantly agreeing to my demands. It wasn’t until after I spent thousands of dollars on a modern oil furnace that I realized how out-of-control my obsession with cleanliness had become!
