The RV didn’t heat well

Unfortunately, the chalet burned down to the ground and nobody realized it.

Admittedly things have been ridiculous ever since the pandemic started.

We like to visit the chalet every month or so, just for a few afternoons. However, with the quarantine, nobody went up to the chalet. At some point during the last few weeks, the place was hit by a tree, caught fire, as well as it burned to the ground. Thankfully, the fire didn’t spread into the woods, or into other nearby chalets. We still wanted to spend more time out there, as well as see what all of us could recover. Our family borrowed a friend’s RV and like most RVs, it had temperature control within. It was pretty old, as well as if the engine wasn’t running, then the heat was lackluster at best. When I say “the engine was running” I mean idling it wasn’t enough. If we wanted the heat to work we had to be driving. This wasn’t good for sleeping overnight, so we needed to use a wood fire outside for heating up our food as well as keeping us warm. When it was time for us to go to bed, at the coldest section of the evening, all of us would use blankets as well as our own body heat to keep us going through the evening. The chalet was a complete loss, as well as with the heating situation the RV wasn’t great. All of us did our best as well as got back to the apartment as soon as possible, but I sure will miss that chalet!
