Well, our cabin burned down as well as not a single person noticed. I’ll admit that things have been nuts since the pandemic began! Usually, we’d stay in the cabin every month or so, just for several days. However, with the pandemic, the people I was with and I stopped visiting. At some point over the last couple of months, the arena got hit by a tree and caught fire, which then burned the place to the ground. Thank goodness the fire did not spread into the surrounding forest or other nearby cabins. We still wanted to spend some time in the woods, as well as see what the people I was with and I could reuse. We borrowed a friend’s camper and like most campers it had climate control installed. Unfortunately, it was old as well as if the engine wasn’t active the heat system was lackluster. When I say “the engine was active” I mean it couldn’t just be idling. If we wanted the heat to warm us, we needed to be driving around. This did us no good for sleeping overnight. We decided to use a wood fire outside for warming our food as well as keeping us warm. When it was time to sleep, at the coldest part of the evening, we used blankets as well as our own body temperature to keep us warm through the evening. The house was a total loss, as well as with the heating situation the camper was less than optimal. We did our supplier as well as got back home as quickly as possible, however we’ll miss the cabin!
