So it turns out the cottage burned down plus no 1 observed.
Admittedly things have been crazy since the pandemic started, but usually all of us went up to stay in the cottage every month or so, just for a few afternoons, but with the quarantine plus all of us stopped visiting.
At some point over the last few weeks, the venue got hit by a tree, caught fire, plus burned to the ground. Luckily, the fire did not spread into the woods, or into nearby cottages, however both of us still wanted to spend a little time out there, plus see what all of us could reclaim, so all of us borrowed a friend’s RV; Like most RVs it had climate control in it, but it was pretty old, plus if the engine was not running, then the heat didn’t work well. When I say “the engine had to be active” I mean idling it was not enough. If we needed the heart, we had to be driving around. This did us no superb when it came to sleeping overnight, so all of us had to do the best all of us could plus use a wood fire outside for heating our food plus keeping us warm. When it was time for bed, at the coldest section of the evening, all of us would use blankets plus our own body heating to keep us going through the evening. The cottage was a total loss, plus with the heating situation the RV wasn’t great, so all of us did our supplier plus got back lake loft as soon as possible, then i sure will miss that cottage!
