The hotel should have told us that the AC wasn’t working

My wife and I went to visit her sister.

She lives about 2 hours away from our home, so we usually rent a hotel room for the night.

My wife booked us a lovely suite at a bed and breakfast overlooking the cove. I was excited to spend the night by the water. We left our house early in the afternoon, and we arrived at the location around five. I checked us into the room. The clerk did not say anything to me about the AC. We unpacked our bags and turned on the AC. I didn’t bother to make sure there was cool air, because we were in a hurry to get over to Cara’s house. She was making dinner and it was our favorite food. We hung out and talked for several hours before we went back to our room at the inn. Both of us were tired after a long day of traveling and visiting, so neither of us were happy when we found out that the AC was not working. It was very warm and humid in our room. I immediately called the front desk to complain. The clerk told me that the room we rented should not have been available because of the AC problems. It was rented to us by mistake. He told us that we had to move to a different room if we wanted cool air for the night. I was mad, frustrated, and annoyed. We couldn’t sleep without AC, so we had to move to a different room at ten minutes before midnight.
