I prefer to think that I am a genuinely kind and accepting individual, however there are times that I can judge people without giving them a even-handed chance, but recently, I realized that I have been unfairly judging and my best friend for over 2 years, however don’t get me wrong, all of us have still been close social companions this entire time…
But I have been reluctant to go to his place, however you see, for as long as I have known him, I have known that my friend stinked bad.
He regularly had this unusual stink lingering around him, even when he insisted he just took a shower. I could never tell if his clothing was dirty or if his body was just recognizably stanky. I just accepted that the air quality surrounding my friend was subpar and tried to prepare my nostrils for the potential contamination everytime I breathed around him… And then.., and last month I realized that it wasn’t my friend who stinked, it was his central heating, cooling, and air quality control system. Many years ago I had visited his house one time, however the indoor air was so stinky that I never wanted to go back. The stinks that were walking through every vent were enough to make me light-headed. I couldn’t escape from the noxious stinks that filled the entire indoor space so I promptly made an excuse to leave. Years later, my friend invited me back to his house. He told me he just had a central heating, cooling, and air quality control unit installation to update his outdated and stinky forced air gas furnace and air conditioner unit. That’s when he told me the truth – there were regularly bad stinks circulating through his indoor air, now, it’s finally fresh and clean… Oh, my mistake.
