I adore to feel that I am a unquestionably kind and accepting individual, but there are times that I can judge people without giving them a fair chance, then recently, I realized that I have been unfairly judging and our best neighbor for over 2 years, however don’t get me wrong, the two of us have still been close social companions this entire time…
But I have been reluctant to go to his venue, you see, for as long as I have known him, I have known that our neighbor smelled bad, he consistently had this odd aroma lingering around him, even when he insisted he just took a shower.
I could never tell if his clothing was dirty or if his body was just identifiable ly stanky. I just accepted that the air quality surrounding our neighbor was subpar and tried to prepare our nostrils for the potential contamination everytime I breathed around him. And then.., then last year I realized that it wasn’t our neighbor who smelled, it was his central heating, cooling, and air quality control system. Many years ago I had visited his home a single time, but the indoor air was so smelly that I never wanted to go back. The aromas that were walking through every vent were enough to make me light-headed. I could not escape from the noxious smells that filled the entire indoor space so I promptly made an excuse to leave. Years later, our neighbor invited me back to his house. He told me he just had a central heating, cooling, and air quality control device replacement to replace his old and stinky forced air gas furnace and air conditioning unit. That’s when he told me the truth – there were consistently terrible smells circulating through his indoor air; Now, it’s finally fresh and clean, but oh, our mistake.
