I keep trying to get my dad to run specials

My dad owns his own HVAC company and my siblings and I all work there in some sort of capacity.

We all know everything that there is to know about HVAC systems and we usually get along really well so it’s a pretty good work environment for us.

The only thing that actually ends up being a problem for us at our little family owned HVAC company is the fact that my dad refuses to relinquish any sort of control when it comes to running the business. I can understand the fact that he’s protective of the HVAC company, since he’s the one who built it from the ground up. My dad started the company back about forty years ago when he first graduated from high school and finished getting his HVAC certification from the local technical school. Ever since then, he has done absolutely everything for the business from the heating and cooling repairs and maintenance jobs all the way to scheduling appointments, keeping the books, and helping people decide on what sort of HVAC system they need in their homes. He’s really the go to guy in our town when it comes to anything related to heating and cooling systems. The only thing that he’s bad at, in my opinion, is advertising our family owned HVAC business. He flat out refuses to run specials on furnace tune ups in the winter, even though all of our competitors in the area do it. He always tells us that the only advertising we need is word of mouth from all of our satisfied HVAC customers.
