I was concerned about needing to change the air filters on a regular basis, when I had my HVAC system installed.
- The HVAC technician told me how often to change the air filters and he even gave me information on what type of air filters I needed to purchase.
The only thing I couldn’t remember about the air filters, was where I was going to put the air filters. He never showed me how to actually change the air filters. I thought that if I were to inspect the air conditioning unit and the furnace, I should be able to find the air filter compartment. I found several different little compartments, but I wasn’t sure how to open them. I called my dad and asked what he thought about the air filter compartments. He showed up an hour later and he went over the HVAC system with me. He showed me the compartment for the air conditioning unit, and the compartment in the furnace. He took the air filters out and had me put them back in. When it came to the air purification system, he wasn’t as sure about the air filters. He said he had never dealt with an air purifier before. It took him a little while to figure out how the air purifier worked and he eventually found the air filter. He hadn’t seen a HEPA air filter before, either. I had to laugh when he said it was a first for both of us. Before he went back home, he was convinced that he needed an air purification unit for his HVAC system.
