The AC technician didn't arrive until a few hours before the grand opening

My wife scheduled the grand opening for her bath and body boutique last Saturday.

  • We called a caterer and ordered several different types of finger foods.

We had mini crab cakes, crackers with pate, and potato skins. We had a DJ from a club come to the boutique to play music all day. We planned the grand opening celebration weeks in advance. We sent flyers to people in the neighborhood and we even advertised on the radio. On the morning of the grand opening, my wife went to the store very early. It was a good thing that she decided to go early, because the AC was not working when she arrived. She immediately called a repair service to check on the AC unit. She called three different AC repair services before she found someone that could come help immediately. The owner of the company told my wife that he would send an AC repair technician right away. We waited an hour and no one arrived. After another hour, the AC technician finally showed up. We didn’t complain about the time or the cost for the repair. We let the AC technician work so he could finish with the repairs before the grand opening. The guy was packing up his truck and all of his tools when the first customers began to arrive. We really got lucky and cut it very close. We had more than fifty people in that small shop on opening day and we were extremely thankful for the ice cold AC. We never would have been able to open without the repairs completed quickly.
