Gigantic House Means High Heating & Cooling Costs

A year or so ago, our sibling purchased a gigantic house.

I find it so strange, as I believe she should be downsizing, not moving into a greater locale, however there is no convincing him of that.

Instead of moving into a townhouse or something, she sold her rather large house & purchased a gigantic a single. Mind you, she lives all by himself. Anyway, she says she thought the house was a fantastic buy, so she got it, & I think whatever makes him blissful is fantastic with me. Anyway, the house is 6000 square feet & has multiple stories & either 5 or 6 living rooms. But a single thing she has noticed since moving in is that a gigantic house means gigantic heating & cooling costs. Her utility bill is astronomical, in our opinion. Anyway, she admits that the a/c is too high-priced, so she recently called in an Heating & A/C specialist to give him some advice on how to make the heating & cooling more efficient & what to do to be fantastic to the environment & also fantastic to her wallet. The Heating & A/C woman offered him multiple chances to look at, & I believe our sibling has decided to get Heating & A/C with zone control. They will break the apartment into areas, or zones, & she can adjust the control units for each zone as appropriate. If no a single is going to be upstairs, there is no need to run the a/c full blast. When she has guests, she can turn the control unit down for them to keep them comfy in the summer time or use the furnace to keep them moderate in December separate from cutting the bank.
