I actually bought my wife and I some heater inserts for our jackets a long time ago.
I can’t really say why, but we never used them this whole time. We were planning on going for a hike and I thought it might get really chilly later in the day. I told my wife we should have those heater inserts for our jackets just to be safe from feeling too cold. She laughed and asked if I was serious. I mean, I did buy them for a reason, not to just have them laying around the house. So we had the heater inserts and they didn’t cause any discomfort. They are lightweight and after awhile, you forget they are even there. Well, as I predicted, the temperatures started to plummet while we were on a long hike. The scenery on our hike was awesome but we were starting to shiver a little bit when the sun was setting. We started our way back to our car and then we decided to turn on the heater inserts. Those little heating systems work surprisingly well. We were able to adjust the temperature control settings and I was impressed with how warm I was feeling in no time. The jacket provided the perfect insulation for the warmth inside our jackets and we were no longer feeling frigid. We both laughed and agreed we would have to use these heater inserts all the time, they felt amazing! The charge lasts for approximately 6 hours, and for us, that was plenty of time to go for a long hike.
