They didn’t tell us there wasn’t Heating and Air Conditioning in the cottage.

Last year, instead of having a huge Christmas Eve party at someone’s house, we rented a cottage for three afternoons. The two of us told the family that along with their being the normal Christmas Eve party, we had rented the cottage so we could all spend Christmas day and the day after Christmas, together. Sister and I were the first ones to arrive at the cottage; Our hubbys gathered wood for the fireplace while we started putting all the food into the house! Although wood had been gathered, no one had yet set fire to the fireplace or turned on the Heating and Air Conditioning system. My hubby went in search of the switch for turning on the furnace, but she found nothing. She couldn’t even find a furnace, or any category of gas furnace, other than the fireplace. The two of us all thought this was kind of strange, but it was a cottage in the woods. There was room to sleep 20 people, four bathrooms, and only fireplaces to keep the entire building warm. My sister’s hubby wasn’t easily thrilled with this. She soon called the woman whom we rented the cottage from. She wanted to think why no one had told us there wasn’t Heating and Air Conditioning in the cottage? Fifteen minutes later, our hubby and she were outside looking at what looked care about an outdoor heater. They then came in, found the remote control, and turned on the ductless Heating and Air Conditioning system, every family room, every bathroom, and every room in the house, had remote control ductless Heating and Air Conditioning. It just might be a legitimately nice Christmas holiday now that we think we have Heating and Air Conditioning.
